  1. Unless you plan on having babies, do NOT put them together, even for a minute---because thats all it takes for her to become pregnant.

There are too many homeless piggies out there to be adding to the overpopulation of guinea pigs. Call up a guinea pig rescue & ask them if they are overflowing with unwanted piggies.

Did you know the sow has a 20% chance of dying during the birth? Do you know which kinds of piggies CANNOT be mated because they produce deformed babies? Do you understand what Dystocia is about? If you have no experience with genetics and breeding of guinea pigs, please, for the sake of your sow, don't use her as an experiment.

  2. please so not put them together unless you got atleast one of them fixed. i guareente you will have babies with in 3 months if you do..... and 3 months later and 3 months later and... welll they just dont stop.... it is hard on the female to get prego over and over and honestly, what are you going to do with the babies? no one wasnts to buy guinea pigs from some random person on the street.... just dont... plus... they could fight if you put them together and she isnt in heat.

  3. You need to get him neutered before you put them together or they will breed.

Oh, so you want to have babies so you will risk her life?? Why don't you just adopt if you want more guinea pigs.

You don't know anything about their genes or backgrounds. They could be carriers of certain illnesses that are hereditary. What if you end up with lethal whites?

What if she has 7- 10 babies? You'd have a dozen guinea pigs.

  4. I had the same problem, only i have two males and three girls, what i did was i had to keep the girls in one cage now and males in the other, unless you want to have baby guniea pigs...as well for her being hidden in her house, it is because she still isnt used to you, and has to get to a comfort zone in her pace of life...thats what i had to do with my males and females now they dont care if we are around or not, dont worry all takes time:)

  5. Try putting them together. If u see any sign of them getting aggressive to each other, put them in the right cage, and maybe try again later. Maybe they can't get to know each other through bars or cages. If they do like each other, make sure to put them back together.

            Hope I helped.

  6. You should NOT put them together! The chances she will die during childbirth are very high. If you don't even know how to introduce them you have no business breeding them!!!!

If you want her to come out I would move her into a quite room so she can get used to YOU first.
