I'm totally senseless when it comes to electronics or computers or anything technical. So my question is when I've filmed all the 60 minutes available, what do I do with that??? Where can I store it so that I can delete and film some more?? And HOW do I do it??

  1. The Flip comes with software to help you transfer the video from the camera to a computer.  You can also do it manually just as you would transfer photos from a digital still photo camera.

The Flip holds an hour of video on internal memory.   It suffers from the same problem as hard disc drive (HDD)  and other internal flash memory camcorders:  once the storage is filled, you have to delete or move the video in order to make room for more recording.

Cameras like the Flip and HDD camcorders require the purchase and use of an external hard drive (or a second internal hard drive in a desktop computer).  The drive holds the original video files as well as the movies you have made in your editing program from the original files. You can get an external USB 500gb hard drive for $100.  Other hard drive units are available in larger and smaller capacities with comparable prices.

  2. plug the flip into your computer and if you have a mac use imovie if you have a pc use movie maker and  upload it to there and then just unplug it and delete it from your camcorder on the actual flip camcorder  and start recording again! hope that helps! reply if you need more help
