  1. feed it crushed up crackers. If you've got time, peel up some vegetables (carrots say) and dry them out. The fish will eat this too if it is small enough. Go buy some fish food asap.

Goldfish do not live long, especially with new owners. Consider this an experiment and be open to the fact that you might be buying more fish in the not too distant future.

  2. pea

  3. Feed it goldfish food from the pet store.

  4. You feed goldfish flakes or tropical flakes. If you do not have flakes at the moment, feed it crushed dried cookies and lettuce, i prefer cookies more, they might not like lettuce. Goldfishes do not like meat at all, so don't even try.

  5. I think lettuce is safe for the fish to nibble on.  I read it somewhere in a fish book that I checked out at a library.

  6. What possessed you to buy the fish and no food? Go back to the pet store and buy goldfish food.

  7. You can feed it a small slice of zuccini or a small slice of an orange both of those things are really good for goldfish but it is not a long term sollution or substitution. I have 2 lion head fancy fin goldfish & they get their tropical flakes everyday & I fluctuate between the orange & zuccini 2 to 3 times a week. I also feed mine frozen bloodworms & brine shrimp. When you do get it flakes make sure you some that spirulina in it cuz its really good for them & it enhances their colors.
