I just got a letter in the mail yesterday from my college saying I am on the Deans list for last semester.

Question

What does this mean, and how is it helpful to my college career? Can I apply for a scholarship now? I am just wondering if it means anything other than just doing good last semester! Thanks

Its definitely a good thing. I don't knoe hoe dcholarshipe work, but read up on that on the scholarhsip you're looking at. But when you start applying to jobs, deans list looks great on your resume. Great jkob and keep it up.

Its just baffling to me.. You got a letter that you're a deans lister and yet you're not smart enough to know how this can help you.. The letter might be totally for your neighbor.

The "Dean's List" is like the college equivalent of the high school "Honor Roll." It means that you achieved a certain grade point average. Good for you. You can apply for scholarships at any time, but most would be based on your standardized test scores or high school GPA. At some schools getting on the Dean's List qualifies you to take honor's classes. Keep up the good work.
