  1. Yes send that back and get your money back and get the one you want.

  2. Few  amateurs have enough clubhead speed to require an X-Stiff shaft, so more flex might help you, but if you are spraying both left and right, you have other problems than just the shaft.

  3. You need to have your swing speed tested...if it is between 90-100, you should have a stiff shaft....between 80-90, you should have a regular shaft.

Have a professional club fitter tell you what to do.

  4. Depending on where you bought the new driver, you may be able to exchange it for a club with a softer shaft . Try that first before you go reshafting a club. So long as there are no dings and scratches and the club looks new, try the exchange. Otherwise go for a softer shaft.

  5. it depends how strong you are and how fast your swing is. generally a stiff shaft is for a strong player who doesnt need flex. the average golfer goes for a 10.5 degree with a regular shaft.

its down to personal choice in the end

  6. What you need to do is go to Golfsmith or your Local Golf Superstore and get your swing analyzed it would only take a few minutes , then that will tell you specifically what type of shaft you should play , if it is not an xtra stiff then you should return that Driver and get one with the proper shaft , then you will be alot happier and not spray the ball .

    Good Luck !

  7. you should have been fitted on a launch monitor . return to store . they will replace , if you have any difficulty phone customer service at clevland , the situation will be resolved in your favour .

  8. Spraying off the tee is not a symptom of the shaft, it's your swing. Your dad is right.

Of course, if you are not comfortable with the club, a change could help you dial in your swing.

A better use of your money might be to get some lessons.
