Question:

I just got a new dvd/vcr combo, but there is no coxial input jack, how do i hook it up ?

can i use my old vcr as a set top box and connect it to that?

should i get a cable box from comcast and set it up through that?

are there any cheap converters that would act as stb

what are the cheapest set up boxes on the net?

  1. Use the RCA cables it came with (red white yellow) and connect to the tv. if you're tv dosn't have those inputs than you have to get a converter box from any electronics store.

    P.S.- I can't belive people still use VHS tapes


  2. Does your tv have an A/V out? If so, just run your cable line directly to your tv and use the A/V out on the tv to run to the dvd/vcr's "IN". You'll also need to run A/V cables from the dvd/vcr's "OUT" to the tv's "IN". That way you'll be able to watch your dvds as well as record your cable shows.

  3. you could go with all RCA cable. 1 if ur cable box has the rca hookups then run it to the back of the combo. 2 then if it has a coaxial output then run it to the tv. or take the vcr combo back to the store and look at the back of all the combos and make sure theres a coaxial input and output.
