  1. CAREFULL READ WHOLE THING BEFORE TRYING

1 open folder where ur music is,

2 make sure both computers are3 connected to a network, or same router,

3 right click on itunes music folder, and find the place where it says u can share it, and check, pick a name now

4 go to laptop, if vista open network, and find folder., if xp, then map a network drive in my copmuter

5 open itunes on laptop, and press (ctrl ,) go to the advanced tab, then check - copy files to itunes music folder when adding to library - .

6 now open the music folder, and drag everything into itunes. this will take a while.

1/7 or you can get ur ipod, and enable disk use on laptop

2/8 go to my comp, and click tools-folder options, go to view tab, check show hidden folders and files, u can change this later

3/9 find the ipod- and go to the semi transparent folder, and find music and then there will be six folders - 00 01 02 03 04 05

4/10 open each folder, and drag songs to itunes, the names are supposed to be weird,a but they will be right in itunes, now create playlists and done

note: do not click on erase and sync when prompted

  2. Yes.

You don't say if you're using Mac or Windows? If Windows - just copy the entire "My Music" folder - but do it straight away, be careful not to put any new music on the new computer before moving your music over from the old one.

If it's a Mac, move the "Music" folder over complete, replacing the default one on the new computer.

Also, if you are going to stop using the old computer, remember to start iTunes on the old one and de-authorize it. You're allowed to authorise up to five different computers at one time, but if you lave an authorization on the old one or wipe it - then that's one less you have!

  3. Yeah, if you have a memory stick [usb] you can copy or cut all the songs onto that, then make folders and CUT it into that. i say CUT because if you copy the songs you have to locate the file and if you have lots of songs it takes AGES and is so BORING!

  4. a good idea is to transfer all the songs from the old computer onto your iPod and then download the program from the link below onto your new laptop to transfer the songs from your iPod.
