  1. Skuff marks from your sticks all tables do that you can brush some of them out but nothing to worry about also a ball with lots of spin will do it on mine you can clearly see the path of my break shots in the cloth

  2. I'd like to help you with your problem. Could you please add a few important details?

What kind of table did you buy (brand)?

How much did you pay for your table?

What kind of cloth ("felt") is it?

Is the table-bed made of slate? If you bump the table with your hip, does the table move?

I'll check back to see if you've provided these details in order to give you a logical and sound answer.

Note: New balls, has nothing to do with having white streaks on your table.

Okay! Thanks for providing helpful additional info. 'Sounds like you bought a good table but it did not come with the greatest cloth ---which is a-okay.

It's simply the quality and nap of the cloth ("felt") ......just brush your table before you play. Brush the table in ONE direction. It's a good habit to to start at the headstring end of the table and work your way to the *foot of the table (*the end of the table where you rack the balls). Brush in a STRAIGHT forward and upward motion (NOT like you're scrubbing a floor!), ending the motion forward and up from the cloth. Eventually, you may want to invest in a better quality cloth/felt ---Simonis is the best. Simonis cloth has no "pile" to it, like many other fabrics do.

The white streaks are simply from the ball(s) rolling through the "pile" of the nap ( as opposed to OVER the cloth)-----similar to how your vacuum cleaner leaves a trail on your carpet. As you put more wear on the table and with regular brushing, the 'pile' will thin and your table will play 'faster' -- a good thing. If you have high humidity, this will slow the balls and the friction as well. Hopefully, your air is dry.

Enjoy your new table......Congrats! I'm thrilled for you!!! Can I come over and play? ...HA!
