I just got a new program on my computer called "Antivirus XP 2008". Did anyone else get this on their cpu?

It just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Is this normal?

Yes, that is malware.  It tired to invade my cpu as well.  Luckily I hit control, alt, delete and was able to block it.  Run a virus and malware scan asap.

Antivirus XP 2008 is Malware. A scam with viruses.  Always make sure you have windows defender on or Windows Live One Care installed and turned on first. It'll protect you from malware.   So boot your computer in safe mode (F8) and run an anti virus program. Take it out

no, your computer has been infected. download Super Anti Spyware (free version) and it'll get rid of it for you. I had the same problem just yesterday.

Dont take my word for it, but I have seen 3 postings on here already and they all said they think it's a virus... So I would do a virus scan to see if it finds it as a virus. google.com and search free avg and download that if you dont have a antivirus program.

yes, i had it but i googled a removal guide for antivirus xp 2008 and found http://www.spyware-techie.com/antivirusx... where i followed the steps and it worked. No more popups. I am now so happy!
