Go to www.wannasurf.com. Locate a beach/wave near you that is for beginners (All surfers) and has weak waves.

You will need a wetsuit and a towel.

Also, I highly recommend that you go to www.surfline.com and click the SURFOLOGY link on the menu bar. Must reads are 'surf school' and 'bill or rights and lefts'.

Huntington Beach pier in the spring. You might want a wetsuit, check out the water and air temps.

You will DEFINITELY want a surf buddy in case you get hurt.

kool im in ca too i go surfing A LOT!! dont ever go 2 santa cruz the surf is horrible i go out to orange county all kindz of beaches out there
