They are kind of shaped like dumbcane, but are a bit thicker. Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is, I need to make sure it is not poisionous to my cats. A picture would be great if you can find one. Thank you 10 points to best answer.

  1. keep it away from the cats for now,

    CROTON is a possibility

has a good pic of  a croton and several other tropical plants

  2. It's amusing that you want US to post photos of plants we might think your vaguely described plant might be.

This is a much better place for you to find out what kind of plant you have. Good luck and keep it away from the cats until you find out.

  3. if it is this one

it ok not poisionous for your cat or any one

  4. Sounds like an Elephant ear plant. Looks a bit like ivy but the leaves can have tints of yellow and red on them. Do a google image search for it. A lot show up green, but they can have red and yellow as well. Trust me..

If it is this plant, your cat is fine :)

  5. cats don't eat too much poison and they learn quickly.  They do sometimes (or seem to) deliberately make themselves sick when they have clogged up their passages with loose fur.  I wouldn't worry too much unless it comes from deep jungle territory.

  6. Sounds like a Croton.

    Lookie here:

  7. http://www.dkimages.com/discover/DKIMAGE...

    it doesn't look poisonous

  8. Here's a link that might help you find it and if you provided US  with a picture of your plant then it'd be easier for us to help you try and find out what name it is.  How can we figure out the name of it without knowing what it looks like?  Hope you find out.

  9. thats a crazy plant!!!
