I just got a two headed nickel in my change,one side is dated 1983,the other side is dated 1984. ?

  1. I don't think that can be repaired, but look in the yellow pages under coins.


  2. I also think you have a coin that's been altered. Especially with having two different dates on it. But take it to a coin collector just to be sure.

  3. Careful who you take it to. Only a well established nuismatist, please. That coin could be extremely rare... never heard of that kind of strike. Somebody might try to pay you far less than it's actual value. Good luck!  

  4. Sounds like someone lost their trick coin used to scam unsuspecting rubes by flipping coins always showing heads.  They probably had one that was tails also, so no one got suspicious.
