  1. u must makesure the table is leveled thats the most important thing good luck!

  2. It depends on what kind you get. Some kinds are a three-piece slate (the slate under the green), some are a one-piece. One pieces are waaay more expensive, so that should let you know what kind you have.

If you have a three piece, make sure the pieces are all aligned carefully, or the ball will "roll" in different directions. And make sure the table is even on the floor. You can use a level for that. Most come with adjustable feet. If it doesn't, you can get spacers for under the legs from different pool suppliers, or online.

Also, make sure you align the lighting directly above the center of the table. I know it sounds insignificant, but it can mean the difference between good shooting and "why can't I hit the d**n pocket?"

    Good luck!

  3. If you have a 3 piece slate you have to grout between the pieces.  Sanding and making sure all dust and bits are "completely" removed from the top of the slate.  If not and you place the cloth on you will have "bumps" under the cloth!

  4. Clean the dried bloodstains off the felt BEFORE assembling it.

  5. you probably are, but its too late for that now :-)

try to see if you have someone from a local pool table dealer install it for you..

  6. Look in the resolved questions folder about 2 weeks back for the question "is a pool table shipped to my home in one piece".  There are some good answers to your question already.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
