I just got an e-mail from someone I don't know, providing a link to a website I don't know...?

Yes, I know it would be stupid to click on it, but I was just curious as to what threat it could pose, if any.

It's from someone called softballgirl03@verizon.net and it provides a link to a website called www.myreplicas4you.com.

It claims to sell replica watches but somehow I'm doubtful considering I don't know the person, I don't live in America and I don't wear watches.

Would anyone like to share an experience if they have got this e-mail or a similar e-mail, or have been on this website? It may seem stupid asking it as I'm not really looking for advice, I'm just curious as to whether this is legitimate or illegitimate, and whether this kind of thing has duped some of you before.

Thanks.

  1. Don't waste any time worrying whether its legitimate or not, trash it and be done with it.

  2. it is a scam i have also got some how message delete it and mark as a spam

  3. You must be new at this...

    ITS CALLED SPAM !

    You know...those are viruses, hackers,...

    Good luck !

You may already be infected !

  4. Hi I just got an e-mail from this address but deleted it without opening it, I'm always weary of viruses and stuff.

I only come accross your question by typing in the e-mail address on google to see if anyone had recieved a scam type e-mail. If I were you I'd just ignore them in future.

    :-)

  5. Ignore any unknown emails by moving them to the junk mail.

  6. I just got an e-mail from that exact same e-mail address today; subject "Re:hello."  I didn't open it, as I automatically move any unidentified e-mail addresses to junk mail, so I don't know if it contained the same link.
