I just got an iPod...

Question

Well I just got an iPod nano 2nd generation. It was slightly used so I have a couple questions.

I have had a sansa and my dad bought me a Rhapsody subscription which is 15 dollars a month. Well, Rhapsody doesn't work with iPods. Does iTunes offer a monthly subscription (I doubt it but my dad needs to know) or are there other programs that are 15 dollars OR LESS that I can buy somewhere cheap or download for free that put songs on iPods?

And my second question is-an 18 year old guy last owned the iPod so I have to wipe the songs. How do you do that?...

To delete all the songs, simply plug it in to your computer. Open iTunes and on your ipod display page, click on the "restore" option.

To reset your whole iPod, plug it into your computer and when it comes up, click "restore".  It will reset it to the original factory settings, and all the music and pictures will be removed.  And iTunes does not offer any monthly subscriptions, but if you would like a monthly limit, you can buy (prepaid) iTunes gift cards at any store like Wal-Mart, Target, Stop and Shop, Radio Shack, etc.  Just follow the instructions on the back of the card to redeem it on iTunes.  When your gift card balance runs out, you will simply not be able to purchase any more songs, until you buy and redeem another card.  This is the way I have always downloaded my music, it's so easy.

to get rid of the other songs when you plug it in go to open files and view setting and right click on it it should say delete

music files from itunes are drm-laden. in order to play them on mp3 players other than ipod and iphone, you need a special program to help strip off the protection and convert the itunes m4p, m4b, m4a music to mp3. i always use tuneclone. my friend introduced it to me. it automatically generates a virtual cd burner, with which the music files can be converted at very high speed.

i would install limewire its free!!

n u have to install itunes too even if u dont buy songs form tthere

when u sync ur ipod the guys old songs will be erased. hope that helps :]

As I know , Rhapsody music has the DRM protection which avoid customer play or convert the downloaded music with other incompatible devices.

So if you want to play the protected music with other incompatible players (like iPod and Zune), you should remove the DRM with a specialized converter.

And here I found a good program to help me remove DRM and convert the DRM music.
