I just got an ipod help me!

Question

ok i just got a ipod yesterday and i just pluged it in and it just loaded all my sisters songs on it but i dont want them and i dont know how to get them AALLL off please help!

use another folder and then delete the songs you dont want

well you can either plug it back into your sisters computer, click on one of the songs, hit ctrl+a which selects all the songs and then delete, so all the songs are gone...

or hwne you plug it into your computer it should say that the songs are from a different library and in order for you to use yoru ipod on your computer you will have to agree for the computer to automatically erase allt he songs because of an anti-p****y thing :)

hey i had the same prblem 2 months ago when i first got my ipod just go to itunes connect ur ipod to the computer then go to ur ipod in itunes and go to music then put dont sinc music and press apply and all the songs will be deleted ok? just try it i figured it out myself its really easy

Have the Administrator of your computer set you up an account on the computer. then download itunes you can then authorize the account and use your own songs.

you need to get your own itunes for it to work

they'll all go away and you can put all your songs on it so maybe get separate accounts on your computer and upload itunes and what not

If you're using Windows, then your computer can have multiple users on it. Create a user for you, the add your own music to iTunes. Then you can sync your iPod. You can email me or IM me if you need anymore help with that. Good luck!

ok well i didnt know they could load songs without someone dragging them in there. i have the same ipod as you and probably the best way to do things is to clear her songs by accessing the list of all the songs, its called songs, it should be under the name of your ipod or the ipod icon. click it and it will list all the songs on the ipod.

click the first song, hold down shift and click the last song. then making sure they are all highlighted, right click and choose delete. then there should be a box that pops up saying something like are you sure you want to remover the selected songs from the playlist and click remove. now your ipod should be clear.

i dont think that you can have to different itunes programs on a computer so create a new account at the itunes website or by clicking itunes store on itunes and choosing sign in in the top right corner. if your sister is signed in then click the words there and choose sign out. now choose sign in and create new account. so you can buy songs separate to your sister. the create a playlist by clicking file new playlist and name it your name. then keep all you songs in there separate to your sisters. if you are downloading make sure once you have imported them into you itunes library (all songs on the itunes will go into the song folder, thats you and your sisters) to drag them from the song folder to your playlist. then when you plug your ipod in just drag songs into you ipod playlists from your playlist so you dont get your sisters songs.

im still not sure how it loaded songs itself but that should clear them. failing that use a separate computer.
