She said it can be caused from sleeping in them, and not cleaning them well...how do I clean my contacts, and do I need to boil the case, if so how many times a month?

  1. Assuming you have soft lenses...

Take your contacts out every night.  Rinse them with solution and rub them with a finger in the palm of your hand.  Flip them inside out and rub them again.  Flip it right side in, rinse again, and put them in the case with new solution.  In the morning, dump out the solution from the case, rinse the case with contact solution, and leave it open to air dry.  Replace the case every 3 months.  Never use tap water on the case or your contacts.

GPC is giant papillary conjunctivitis.  Keep your contacts clean and don't overwear them to prevent it.

And are you supposed to be wearing contacts again so soon?  I would think that you would need a break from them while the scars heal.
