  1. any puncture wound or deep scratch should be taken seriously and should be checked by a doctor.

  2. You might want to go to the doctors. I was bit on the leg and washed it good and put neosporin on it and had the doctor check it and he said cat bites become infected easily.

  3. Vampire kitty!!!!!!!

I dont think you should worry to much, since its heathy.

  4. If he broke the skin go to the doctors. 40-50% of cat bites get infected. You probably don't want to get an infection in your neck.

This can happen, obviously, even if you do know what to do. Statistics show that 80 percent of all cat bites get infected. The most frequent type of bite is a puncture wound. If a cat bite bleeds fairly well, your chance of infection will be greatly reduced. The bleeding actually flushes some of the infectious saliva out of the wound

As many as 40 percent of cat bites become infected and require medical care. If you were to get bitten by a cat you should immediately clean the bite with a disinfectant and monitor it closely so that it doesn't get infected.

  5. I get bitten and scratched all the time........just wash it really well, and put some Neosporin Ointment on it.  It should be fine!

Next time, don't be playing so rough with her!!   :-)

    Good luck.........

  6. make sure you go to the docter. thats very important

  7. Wash it.

If your cat is up to date than there is nothing to worry about.

    Sorry you got bitten.

  8. She was just giving you a love nibble....you could have been holding her a little too tight maybe and she was letting you know she wanted down.

  9. As long as your cat is up to date on all there shots you should be able to just wash it and keep an eye on it for infetion like you would any cut.

  10. Ouch!

Don't worry. If your cat is up to date on shots and is a happy, healthy kitty, all you need to do is wash the bite area with soap and warm water and peroxide, then dab it dry, put Neosporin on it, and then put a band-aid on it if it drew blood. And keep away from your cat for a while! The only thing you need to worry about is if it drew blood and you didn't clean it-that would put you at risk for infection. That's the worst that could happen.
