I just got braces. How long will my teeth ache for? Also what's it like having braces in middle school?

take an asprin or any type of pain reliever that will hep and it isnt bad because like alot of people have braces and if people do tease (depends on school) just say at least i wont have buck teeth!!

its not so bad, they will ache for 4-8 days and will be super sensitive.  take some tylonol or advil to help. having them in middle school isnt so bad either, lots of kids have them, people shouldnt make fun of you (ive had mine for a year and a half and still only my friends joke with me)

your teeth will take a little getting used to the braces in about a week or two...and having baces and going into middle school isnt that big of a deal. if anyone makes fun of you- just remember that at the end of it all, your gonna have the nicest teehth ever!

Hi! i know a lot about braces, because I just got mine off today!!!!

Your teeth should be sore for 2-4 days. Keep taking tylonel....then it will feel fine!!!!!

In middle school, almost Everyone has them, so its not weird at all. I got mine in 7th grade and got them off now (im going to be a freshman), so i had them in middle school

they arent really bad..

i have to admit i would only brush my teeth 1-2 times a day and i barely EVER flossed, and my teeth were fine when i got them off....no discoloring

just make sure you are brushing your teeth quite a bit.. good luck! it will go by so fast

oh and everyone says whne u get them tightened it hurts...well honestly i doesnt hurt that bad

hey i just got my braces during the summer and when i first got them i was in pain but i goes away the next couple days or for me it took a  week .Also school is coming up andim in the 8th grade and when i got together w/myfriends i couldntstop smiling..they would give my all these complements on my new braces.I still have my braces and everyone treats me the same 8th grade year so just have fum with them !!!

Well i used to have braces and i might need them again

It aches for about a week. And i think it is ok having braces through middle school, But alot of People might call you Brace face but just ignore them
