I just got braces and i wanted to know if i will i ever get used to this TPA?

i got braces about 3 days ago. i didn't have any pain at all. i don't hate my braces either their just annoying. also the TPA (the wire that goes across the top of my mouth) makes me talk funny. i can't say anything that has an r in it. i hate that and makes me feel embarrased. so i just wanted to know if anyone else had/has this and will i learn to talk with it anytime soon?

Ugh, I understand. Well I didn't have a TPA when I had braces, but I did have this thing that went on the roof of my mouth and I couldn't say my esses correctly. I got used it though after about 2 weeks. It'll probably take you about the same time.

I had that and what ugotthatright had too. You get used to it, I guess. Though I kept pulling and both of those and then I didn't have anything on the top of my mouth anymore. (They thought I caused too much trouble.) Though I think my familly got charged for it.
