  1. Yes a long time ago ... didn't eat prior and could not afterward, lesson learned from that .... take a pain killer on both fronts .. in aspirin form and the gel that goes onto the gums as well .. have something to eat before going to get your braces tighten (monthly if I remember it right) not right before.. use the wax to protect your gums from the appliances they add to your teeth.

I invested in a water pik and used warm salty water .. the ability to place the warm water between the teeth worked for me.

As max said after it's all said and done you will have a beautiful smile.

I worn those braces for 5 years! and retainer for almost 2 years

  2. it's totally normal. i didn't have any apparatus or something to make it stop hurting..but my dentist gave me a pain reliever...it helped a bit but you can't ignore it ! i just got used to it after a few days ...

  3. Yes it is normal for your teeth to hurt.. Tylenol will take the edge off the pain. The pain will ease up in a couple of days. Every time you get your braces adjusted you are going to be in pain for a lil while that is because your teeth are moving.. Keep anything soft to eat around like pudding, jello, ice cream and mash potatoes. every time i would get mine adjusted that is all i could eat for a few days..

  4. its totally normal

  8. Yes, it is normal. These will hurt for 3-4 days and afterwards it will become normal. During this period if the pain is more then you can take pain killer tablet as sos and take soft diet which you do not have to chew much. for more information on braces you can visit the following link

  9. soo normal, you really need to get yourself on a tylenol regimine. Take it before you feel pain so that you will experience less of it. The pain does take a while to go away but just think of the beautiful smile you'll have. Good luck!
