  1. it might have been dry... make sure its fully submerged in solution.

  2. You probably put it in inside out. I have to put contact solution on my contact then put it in my eye or else it burns. Try that too!

  3. Your contact was either flipped the wrong way, therefore put in backwards, causing irritation to your eye.

Sometimes when I put in my contacts, it burns.  That just means your eyes were dry and they probably needed drops before putting them in.

Or, the contact itself could've been dried.  Make sure your contacts are always submerged in GOOD solution before putting them on.

Put some solution in the palm of your hand and put the contact in it, rubbing it around with CLEAN fingers.  This cleans of excess bacteria gathered up on the contact.

Of course, put your contact back in solution for a couple minutes before putting it back into your eye, just so it's clean and not dry from touching your hand for so long.  Wash your hands again, too!

Don't worry - feeling like it's burning it's normal.  It probably is either one of these, it happens to me too.  Usually to me because my eyes get very dry from the lens covering my cornea.

I just put in simple eyedrops, wait a couple minutes, rub my lenses in my palm, then put them in.  Good as new!

    Hope I helped!
