I've been looking for a part-time job for a while now. I'm 16, and I'm sick of babysitting. I have some friends who work at Dunkin Donuts also, but I'd like to get as many tips as I can so I can be a great employee. I'm excited to start training Wednesday. Feel free to give me any suggestions you have. Thanks!

  1. Do exactly what your manager tells you to do, when he tells you to do it, and you will coast on through and pick up your sweet check!

  2. Don't eat to many donuts.

  3. Always be polite and smile! You're bound to get a few whacky customers but take them in stride and don't get upset, it will throw off your equilibrium for the rest of the shift. And don't eat the food...before you know it one donut will turn into 5 and you will be fat. Be nice to your co-workers; in case you ever need a shift covered, they will be more willing to do it. Take your job seriously ...but have fun! You have the rest of your life to be boring at a boring job.

  4. Like your job! Make sure you like it for other reasons than because your friends are there, because they could quit. If you find yourself hating it, look for a job that involves something your interested. But if your interested in donuts, good for you! Have a great time.

  5. yes, don't eat the food

  6. Sick of babysitting too.

Never worked at fast food but:

    > Be polite

    > Look nice

    > Be patient

    > Take your breaks (company gets in trouble if you don't)

    > Show up on time

    Good luck!
