I just got my 1st horse spurs how do i get them on?

I hate seeing a horse abused by a rider wearing spurs.  I'd suggest that if you don't even know how to put them on there is a good chance you will not know how to use them without causing your poor horse some painful experiences (perhaps even creating problems for yourself down the track)

A dressage rider will use spurs very subtly - they are used as 'reminders' to reinforce leg aids.  Perhaps if you get hold of some dressage videos and watch them you will see how they are worn - and used.
