I just got my braces off and was wondering if i can use crest white strips?

My orthodontist says he wants me to wear my retainer full time because i had filing in between my bottom teeth to make more room so the teeth could straighten out more i just want to know if i can take the retainer out to whiten my teeth or will my teeth shift?!

as long as you dont leave your retainer out over night or for long periods of time you will be fine.

you will be fine just wait about 2 days after you have worn the retainer. but just to warn you- those white strips irritate your gums and teeth and it hurts even worse when you put on the retainer.

It depends on the whitening strip. If it has to be left on for more than a few hours or so or overnight, don't use it. If it's only for a few minutes or half an hour, it's ok.

NO! I have braces and my sister just got hers off and our ortho said definitely NO whitening for six months, since they just basically ground the glue off your teeth and probably other reasons. But to be sure, perhaps you should contact your orthodontist's office.

Yes you can. Just be careful to follow the directions carefully. Brushing right before or after is very bad for your teeth enamel.

Also if you have sensitive teeth, you might feel some minor pain.
