I just got my braces taken off, but i am not happy with the results what can i do?

i recently had my braces taken off but i am not satisfied with the results. With the braces on i couldnt tell how bad they actually looked. once i got them off my teeth look terrible,they are protruding and it looks horrible. prior to taking my braces off my dentist told me this is as good as they would get and there was nothing eles i could do so i sign the release stating i was satisfied so i can get them off. but now that there off they look bad and i spoke with another dentist and they said they dont look like they should. Is there anything i can do to get this corrected since i already signed the release form or would i have to pay more money again? is the dentist obligated to fix this since they still look bad?

I understand your worry. It would be hard to tell you if your teeth can look better just by reading your story. It is true that in some cases, orthodontic treatment is limited, making teeth straighter but not necessarily in a very aesthetic way.

What I would suggest is that you consult another dentist or orthodontist, who can check your teeth and your jaws and tell you exactly if something better can be done. Make sure you bring a good picture, or models of your teeth showing how they were. It would probably cost you a consultation with the other dentist/orthodontist, but maybe he or she can give you the answer that you need.

Well some dentists are money hungry, and just want to get you in and out and keep their money.

Not really sure what you can do, i wouldn't take " that's as good as they're going to get as an answer"
