I just got my ears pierced afew hours ago. I've been twisting them frequently, making sure they're ok.

But now i'm scared of what could happen to them, like infections, keloids and things like that. The women who pierced them for me gave me this stuff to drop on my ears everyday and twist them afew times. But i'm still scared of bad things which could happen to my ears.

Someone please tell me how i can keep them clean and prevent infections, stuff like that? Also, how do you take a shower with them, what if shampoo goes in? When can i start to change my earrings?

  1. Don't keep touching them or you WILL get an infection. Just leave them alone and they'll be perfectly fine.

  2. Its not 6 months wth >_>

It's more like 6-8 weeks to change earrings.

If you don't twist your earrings then the skin around the earring can become 'stuck' to it. That's why you have to twist.

Don't worry about shampoo. Just shower normally.

  3. it's fine.

aren't you that girl off bebo who does really good pictures and skins?

  4. Well, for a start I don't think you should be twisting them THAT frequently. You can cause trauma and tearing doing that- so if your going to twist them, do it like twice a day- no more! And your hands must be very clean so as not to pass on bacteria into the wound.

I don't really think you will get an infection or a keloid- I presume your talking about a lobe piercing btw?? Lobe piercings are pretty resilient. And it's unlikely to get an infection in one. Honestly they are the most simple piercing to heal. Just make sure not to tear it, and make sure to clean it and you'll be more than fine.

You can keep them clean by getting some sea salt, and doing sea salt soaks. Just make up a mixture of warm water and sea salt and then take a Q-tip and clean. Make sure to get any lymph off of the bar (crust) so that it isnt dragged into the piercing.

You can shower with them normally. Again, dont worry to much. If shampoo does get in your ears, the warm water will just wash it away.

You can change the earrings at six weeks when they have healed. Some lobe piercings heal very quickly and you may find yours are healed by week two. However you should still take the precautions and wait the full healing time. This way you know you wont have damaged your ear. Dont put cheap metals in your ear though, because the piercing is still new, it would still have the chance of infecting.

    Good luck and dont worry!

  5. you ' ll be fine

  6. i believe you have to wait 6 weeks to change them and as long as you wash them daily with the stuff given to you thoroughly (take a q-tip and put the stuff on it) then you'll be fine

  7. The only thing that will happen is that if yoy leave them out for too long, they will close up. Good Luck!

  8. Stop touching them, thats making you at more risk of infection. Clean them with a sea salt solution and they should be fine.

  9. i recomend you get some anticeptic spray or tpc which helps. if you but the solution on them an then twist your earings and push them backwards and forwards this will clean them,

Also you can gt a cotton bud and clean behind the earing if you push it forward.

try not to touch them to much as this may infect them!

if youdo get shampoo in them the wash it with the solution straight away!

they will be fine don't worry

If you are really woried go to were you hade them done for them to check them

    Hope this helps

  10. The shampoo won't do anything you're overreacting and you can start changing them after 3 weeks, but don't be twisting them to much cause your hands could be dirty and they could effect your ears.

  11. i can stick my fingers through my ears and i did it myself and never once cleaned them and there fine

  12. Uhm you have to wait 6 months before you can change them

    And they will be okay.

Just keep on putting that stuff on them

    You will be okay!
