  1. Do not use alcohol or peroxide.. it's way too strong, and can wreck the healing tissue, leaving it raw and open to infection.

Go through your cupboards in the kitchen and see if you can find some sea salt. If so, use that mixed with water. It's never failed me :D

If you can't find any, just clean it with filtered water and cotton wool/q-tip.

    good luck xx

  2. You shouldn't be using the bottled stuff they gave you anyways.

    Unless it is H2ocean.

But if it is the white bottle of 'cleaning' solution just stop using it.  That stuff they give you with your piercing is ****.

Switch to just cleaning them with anti-bacterial soap.

You can also do sea salt soaks if you would like to.

NEVER use peroxide, alcohol or anything that contains alcohol, bactine, or ointments.  They are for cuts and scrapes, your piercing is neither.  They will only irritate your piercing.

    Edit*

Do not touch or mess with your piercing unless your hands are fully clean!

When you clean your piercing use a fresh Q-tip every time, and do not dry off your piercing with a hand or bath towel they can harbor bacteria.  Instead use a paper towel to dry them and then depose of it. :)

  3. The active ingredient in the cleaning solution is:  benzalkonium chloride. The main ingredient is purified water. I love the stuff. I use it whenever I change my earrings.

It is highly recommended by anyone who does piercings. If you don't have the stuff right now, get it as soon as you can.

Don't touch your ears with anything until you wash your hands with antibacterial soap. Or any soap and water will do. You might want to try a very dilute solution of any salt water. Make a little warm water and sprinkle the salt in it so it dissolves. Apply with a clean and sanitary q-tip until you get the stuff that you left at your mom's.

  4. using peroxide or rubbing alcohol is actually bad for a piercing. you have both bad and good bacteria and when using one of those products, it kills both bad and good bacteria thus making the healing time alot longer than it should. using a simple mixture of salt and water to cleanse your piercings.

  5. Hydrogen peroxide or cleaning alcohol. But don't forget to clean your ears, because it can lead to really nasty infections, and you may have to let it heal and then repierce it again. Hope this helps!

  6. I had my ears pierced when I was very young. I used alcohol and my ears didn't fall off. You'll be fine!

  7. if you dont have peroxide or alcohol, then take some sea salt and mix it with some luke warm water and soak your ears in it.

sea salt and water is better then the cleaning stuff they give you, peroxide and rubbing alcohol , all of that stuff will dry out the piercing  and just water alone wont do a thing except swish the dirt around in the hole

  8. Hydrogen Peroxide!

It works sooo much better than the stores cleaning stuff anyways.

  9. Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol.

    Or Hydrogen Peroxide.

But really.. going a day or two won't hurt. Unless you got your ears pierced like literally with a week or two ago... I stopped cleaning mine about 3 or 4 weeks in. I think. But really. Just kep it clean with water and a q tip if nothing else. the important part is to flush it and sterilize it.

Hey and if you have a chlorinated pool at your house, just take a dip. That's what pierced ear cleaners are made of, chlorine! Natural disenfectant!

  10. until you get the stuff back just use water and a q-tip.

Don't use alcohal or peroxide that is too strong for it.

EDIT: No problem lol and thanks for your answer too. :)

And yea H2Ocean is what they just gave me and it works pretty good and just spray it on. :)
