Question:

I just got my first pair of english riding spurs. and i dont know how or where to put the straps. anyone know?

theyre not velcro straps theyre leather and on each of the spurs theres a higher side then the other.

  1. There are loads of types of spurs, but this is just a general way to fit them. Start by fitting the heel of your boot into the U-shaped part of the spur. The spur should rest at the top of the heel, where it meets the body of the boot. Attach the strap from the ankle around the front of the boot, some spurs will have a second strap that should run underneath the boot near to the heel. Make sure the fit is snug, and the spurs shouldn't wobble. If they do then tighten the straps until they don't.
