  1. I prefer lambs wool, i just seem to dance better with them and they toughen up you feet faster! Don't try to do anything in them before pointe classes start other wise you will injure yourself and then probably wont be able to go en pointe for a long time. Make sure you have got them fitted correctly because they are quite dangerous i suppose! If they don't fit they can really hurt you! Only do what your teacher tells you and listen to them very closely!  To be good en pointe it takes practice and dedication/ Good luck and pointe is great! xx

  2. Congratulations!

When I started pointe, we werent allowed to use pads, so I grew very fond of ouch pouches very quickly! I do like the new gelos, too, I use them with the cotton side on my foot. Very comfy, but I can still feel the floor, and they def arent as bulky as leos pads.

  3. I've always preferred lambs wool to toughen up feet quicker.  I guess it's what feels best to you.  Try class with wool and try toe pads for next class.  I remember my first pair of pointe shoes (Capezio's Pavlowa) and it is exciting!  I would just stare at them, smell the new leather and satin, etc.

I don't use any padding now and therefore have ugly feet.

  4. great job getting pointe shoes!! i like lambs whool better then reg toe pads. first thing first: NEVER PLAY IN POINTE SHOES!!! my friend went on pointe and was playing around in them and she sprained her anckle! don't play in them. don't wear them except in a class but you can if ur teacher says you can. have fun!
