I just got my hair parted different at a hair salon, how do I make sure it stays that way?

I got it parted differently (a lot differently), and then I got layers cut in it, so it would look really weird if it went to the way it was before. The person doing my hair said it might take a few days for my hair to settle the way it is, and I forgot to ask her how to make sure it doesn't get messed up... So, how do I do that? Especially while I'm sleeping...

You have to train it, like a dog....Pin it back, Put your ponytails, braids, back wth a side part, etc. When it messes up, Repart it...It's easy.

hair does have a natrual part, mine is slightly to one side (i'm not gonna guess which side, cuz i don't have L/R correct anyway)

but it's easy to train it. just keep it in a pony tail at night for a few days

and clippies during the day

If your hair was cut for that specific part, then the hair will be 2 different lengths on either side of the part.  Just hold the hair up, and take a look.  It should be easy to get the pattern that way.  If the hair wasn't cut for that specific part, just try to part it in the same general area or way that the stylist did.  It should be fine.

while your waiting for your hair to settle in it's new place use small clips and clip them near your parting on either side when you go to bed.

this way it will stop it from getting messed up ;)
