I just got my kitten fixed 3 days ago and now she is running laps around the house... how do I keep her calm ?

how do I keep her calm or "inactive" for the recommended 14days?

You really should contact the doctor who did the surgery. He or she will know best on what is wrong and what to do about it. Do yourself and kitty a favor and contact the doctor asap.

get a cone neck 'brace' fro the pet store to slow her down.  Remove it to let her eat

More than likely your kitten is now in considerable pain. She is simply trying to relieve or distract herself from this pain. Her erratic behavior will probably stop in about a week. Until then, be patient, hold and pet her, and speak to her softly in order to calm, reassure, and show her love. Do not play roughly with her. If she attempts in play  to bite or scratch do not respond in kind, just continue to speak and hold her softly.
