  1. yes you can if he's paying and signing...

  2. I am almost positive one must be 21 to lease a car.

Maybe Dad will lease it in his name or co-signthe contract.

I know that a significant amount of insurance is required and that can be very expensive for a male under 25.

  3. a little off topic but isnt this why your generation is not taken seriously      i mean h**l  ive worked my a** off and pay for almosteverything in cash  dont live off credit and my parents although to me useless wastes  taught me one thing NOBODY LIKES A SPOILED BABY............

buy a used pos mobile and drive that untill you can afford a better ride  notice i typed you can afford

  4. If Dad is paying for it and signing off on it, it's his car anyway.  You just drive it.  You have to be a minimum of 18 to sign any contract, and thats not to say that a dealer would even allow you to sign a contract with them if you have no credit history.  If you're 18, see if a dealer will lease a car to you with dad as the cosigner and build some credit history.  If he makes the payment, you dont really have to do anything but put gas in the car and pay insurance unless they're picking that up for you too.  Must be nice to have parents like that.

  5. Dad will have to lease the car and get you insurance and then you can drive his leased car.

  6. Why not just call up a local car dealer and ask them. They would help you with this.

  7. If your under 18 then no, it will have to be in your dads name

  8. You have to be 18 to sign a lease contract, regardless of how long you've had your license for.  You could lease a car without having a license, as long as you're at least 18.  Your dad could lease the car (spoiled?) and you could drive it.  You could probably even register it in your name.
