  1. There isn't a way to shorten your period.  If there was that would be a very rich person.  Its really no big deal.  I'm sure other girls in your school have had their periods so you will not the only one.  Carry some pads or tampons with you so you will be prepared.  Good luck and hope this helps

  2. There isn’t really much that you can do to shorten your period, the only idea that would really stand any chance of working is if your doctor prescribes you Tranexamic acid tablets – these are used in women with excessively heavy periods to reduce the flow, however with the side-effects involved it is highly unlikely that they would be willing to prescribe this unless you actually suffer from excessive periods. Hormonal birth control is another option, however using hormonal birth control to deal with any sort of menstrual problem, let alone when there is no problem what-so-ever, is serious overkill, it too has isn’t side effects and it would deprive you of learning about your menstrual cycles which is an important part of caring for your sexual health.

With all that said, why would you want to make it last for a shorter time?

Menstruation is a positive thing, for a lot of women menstruation makes them feel sexier, more creative and more sensitive, a lot of women suffer from periods because they are taught throughout childhood that it is a bad thing or because they do not know how to handle menstruation – both can be changed by educating yourself about your body and menstruation, better understanding means you would better deal with your periods and better acknowledge the positive aspects of it.

I would suggest too that you get yourself either a menstrual cup or some softcups, these are cups that are inserted into your v****a to collect the menstrual flow, they are better than tampons or pads because they can be left in for up to 12 hours at a time without leaking or any health risk, they are thus far more convenient for school as you don’t have to worry about embarrassing leaking or having to change in the school toilets. Menstrual cups are very cheap and most brands offer a money back guarantee so if you do not like them you can get your money back, try Ladycup http://www.ladycup.com or Divacup http://www.divacup.com Softcups are more expensive but a lot of girls prefer them http://www.softcup.com

You may want to look at other options too, if you use pads then you might want to look at options such as padded panties where pads are built into underwear such as Lunapanties, or period belts that have more pad and fasten to your waste such as Reddy’s, both give more pad and sit close to your body offering you more protection and they can be more discrete.

FYI – tampons are hugely dangerous and unhygienic, this is particularly so for younger women and girls as they are at greater risk due to the more delicate vaginal walls and lower immune system, risks include vaginal irritation, vaginal ulceration, vaginal splitting, increased menstrual flow, increased menstrual cramps, vaginal infections, toxic shock syndrome, endometriosis and cancer. A lot of women find that tampons can actually increase menstrual flow due to their affect on vaginal health.

  3. there is no way to shorten your period. NOPE.. so u got to deal with it, every girl does..

  4. You can't make your period any shorter, all i would say is if you haven't finished in 5 days when you go to school, just take some extra pads/tampons and some painkillers for the killer cramps that you sometimes get and a spare pair of underwear just incase of leakages. I say that you will be finished before you go back to school though depending on how long you normally bleed for. Good Luck.

  5. periods are usually shorter when on the pill

  6. There's no way to make your period not last long! However, since you've gotten it before, you should know how long it is! Mine is only three or four days, and if your is similar, you're all set!

Try wearing Tampons because they really mkae you period more comfortable and easier.
