She is an 8 week old springer spaniel. She keeps pooing and peeing in the utility room, even though she goes right before bedtime.

  1. Well, you have a baby that hasn't learned control, blus her bladder is so small, that she can't hold it all night.

People with puppies wake up two or three times a night to take the dog out.  Otherwise, use puppy pads.

Your dog is just a baby!  If you leave her in an outside kennel all by herself, she will get very lonely, very scared.  Keep her inside, keep her the kitchen or bathroom with newspaper or puppy pads, set your alarm clock to wake up twice a night, and take her out.  This is the best way to train her, and keep her safe and happy.

Please pick up a basic puppy care book - how to potty train a dog will be in it, along with other things such as basic obedience.  You, and your dog will love much happier!

  2. You shouldnt really, put her in a Kennel. The pavement floor, will be bad for her bones etc.

You should, Try and train her to use, puppy training mats, Which you get at wilkos and asdas - Places like that.

  3. Shea- don't expect puppy to have bladder control for another four weeks-she's too young to have developed a sense of personal space- giver her time- didn't anyone let you know these facts?  poor girl- don't do any thing like rub her nose in it - that doesn't work and its cruel- also- if you start using the outside as a punishment for anything- she will develop a strong dislike for outside, then when she's older, she will not communicate her need to go potty outside cause it will have a negative association for her- the best thing is to be patient- you can start now by rewarding her with praise and treats every time she potties outside- the idea is to positively reinforce good behavior rather than punish the undesirable ones- it works best- puppies/dogs are allot of work - they are not for the lazy- sticking her in a crate outside is cruel- these animals are pack creatures and being alone is the worst thing. The thing to do now is to prepare for the next couple weeks-  many people tape a tarp to the floor and then use HEAVY news papers to help absorb the moisture from accidents- Then all you have to do is clean up the news paper a couple times a day and roll up the tarp and replace it once a day- this will reduce the amount of pooh you have to clean off the floor- you just roll it up and throw it away- good luck- also- you are in the cat section
