They cant get that old. They only live on average 3 years. no offence.

Syrian hamsters are big in size to begin with.

Geez.  What does it matter how old is he?  If you like the hamster what does it matter?  What are you going to do?  Return it in four months for a new one because the old one "expired"?

black bears grow to be 7- 8 inches long. when they are 5-6 weeks old, they are half that size, 3-4 inches. check their ears. the more white hairs there are in them, the younger they are.
