I just got my wisdom teeth out...?

Question

Will it stop bleeding if I stop putting gauze in my mouth? I've had it in there for a few hours now but it's still kinda bleeding...

You should keep the gauze in until the bleeding stops. Normally it should only bleed for the first day or so.The gauze are there to keep pressure against it and help your blood clot. If you remove the gauze your increasing the chance for an infection.

You can put gauze in your mouth but don't bite down on the gauze.  Rinse with cool water every so often.

you have a large open wound... it will take time to close the gum and clot the wound

as long as it is slowing down and not bleeding much, it will be ok
