  1. i am 13 and i got mine out about 1 month ago.

i didn't have verry much swelling or bruising

your teeth might have been a little deep and if

you have holes or stitches. i had stiches and they

were tight but after a couple of days they start loosing

    up.

swelling is ok. just means you have a slow healing.

hope i helped any ?'s email me.

  2. Give it time...those holes will ache soon enough and that's when you should take the painkillers.  Mine "holes" ached for about a week and the mouth was a bit achey from having been worked on.

  3. The ice will reduce the swelling during the first 24 hours only, after that we recommend that you use a warm moist compress.  This will help to get the blood flowing back into the muscles and tissue helping to reduce the swelling and inflammation.  Also do the warm salt water rinses to remove any food particles that may become lodged in the socket areas and to reduce the bacteria count.  The warm salt water rinses will also help to ease the soreness you are experiencing.  As always, follow your dentist or OS instructions since they are aware of any difficulty during your surgical procedure.  Give your self a few days of a soft diet with plenty of rinsing and hot compresses, you'll feel more like your self before the weekend.

Yes, the firmness is normal, that is the swelling which will reduce given time.  Be sure to continue taking any prescribed pain medication today and possibly tomorrow, this will keep your pain level down.  It's easier to keep dental pain down with medication rather than trying to stop it once it really starts hurting.  So take it, even if you don't think you need it, at least for the next day or two.  By then you probably won't need anything more than Advil or Motrin.

  4. Try a warm pack then maybe that will ellivate the pain for a bit.. did he give you something for the pain if nothing else contact them  and see what they tell you.. best of luck

  5. I had mine out and my face swelled up like a balloon along with bruises and everything, I looked and felt awful. So I think it´s probably normal. If there is bleeding though you have to go back to your dentist.

  6. yes you get Novocaine before you get them removed this means that you could get hit in the face and not feel it ....... it takes about 24 hours for the Novocaine to completely ware off, at about that time i would suggest taking advil a lot of advil continue icing it because it will speed up the healing process ........ but no for now your mouth will not hurt unless you touch it and as time goes on ull notice the pain getting stronger and stronger upon touch ........ within 48 hours the pain should be almost completely subsided as long as you don't put too much pressure on it then ull be fine keep the ice on it and u will be fine in no time

  7. Yes it's normal.  Were they impacted?  You should consult your dentist if you are having any problems.
