  1. they came completely off!!?? i think u wouldv noticed the wheel vibration and have enough common sense to pull over and have a look.

but i guess its the dealers fault. the wheels shouldve been tightend and they shouldnt have fallen off.

  2. The dealership is at fault. Take the car back to the dealership and get your money back and buy something more reliable. Ford cars are nothing but c**p.

  3. The garage may be at fault here, if they have recently changed the tyres on the car then they should have torqued the wheel nuts correctly. If they haven't done this then the wheel can come off (as yours did). If you changed the wheel yourself however then it is actually your fault as you should have torqued the wheel nuts correctly, or taken it to the garage & gotten them to do it for you.

  4. Dinky

  5. I would need to know how many wheels came off.

If all four came off, that is just awesome.

  6. Well if you just got it like within the last couple of months then the dealer would be responsible.

If you have had it for a period of time then first if something was wrong with the vehicle the dealer would be responsible but other than that you would be responsible for this, it is part of the maintenance that you are to do......

  7. didnt you hear any thumps whilst driving?..strearing should have been moving alot also...did it happenthe day you got the car?...if not some scum might have been trying to pinch the wheels during the night....

  8. The question to be asking yourself is, Who secured them on, was it yourself, a garage, or a manafacture.

If you have not disconnected them, removed the completely, or losenned any nuts, then it will be the responsibilty of the last person who did.

  9. If a wheel came off just after you bought a new car, it's up to the dealer to fix it.

If all four came off, I would suspect sabotage -- and/or driver ignorance. Wheels just do not all come off at the same time, unless someone took the lug nuts off and then it'd happen within a few feet.

  10. The driver is responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a roadworthy condition.

A vehicle designed to be operated with four wheels is not road worthy if four of the wheels are not secured securely to the vehicle in such a manner as to allow the vehicle to be operated without any of the wheels liberating themselves from the vehicle.

What this means is, your question is not really comprehensible as written.

We know what all the words mean, but their combined meaning is obscured by the context in which they are used.

  11. your fault for buying Ford c**p, I'm afraid.

  12. If it is a new car then the dealer is responsible as the car should have been checked before you took delivery of it. My son has just bought a Fiesta ST and it was checked before he collected it and is due another free check in 3 months or 1500 miles. This is Fords policy. It seems as though the pre-delivery inspection (pdi) was not carried out properly  therefore the dealer is liable. Contact your dealer, and if necessary Fords if they won't help.
