I just got phone service from the cable company and now my tivo won't work?

does anyone know why and how to get it to work it says its not able to access the phone line

How was the TiVO jack wired into your system? maybe when they disconnected the house from the pole, which usually they do right where the wire enters the house, your TiVO jack was also disconnected? Try plugging a phone in the jack to see if it is still active. Either way, sounds like you need to call the cable company.
