I just got some new bettas and want to know if it is safe if they can mate without killing eachother?

i know alot about bettas i have 7, and a lot more animals so yeah i just want to know if they can mate without the gene donors dying

  1. If you are worried about Bettas (Siamese fighting fish) killing each other because of fighting it is usually only the males who fight. As long as you aren't trying to mate male with male you shouldn't have a problem. Simply keep males separated from each other. Of course, determining which are male and which are female is up to you. However if you can't keep your water temp at about 80 degrees or above as is their natural habitat they will not thrive regardless of what you do. Go to about.com and search for Betta.
