  1. We need to know the bug!

Are you feeling nauseous? If it's a spider, it might be.

    Poisonous.

  2. not sure what it could be,but you may want to call a doctors office and have him paged to call you about it asap.

Or call the ER to ask them what it may be, good luck!

  3. Don't worry about it. Unless you are allergic the worst that will happen is the area may swell a bit and it will hurt for a while, but it will go away in time. There are no bees or ants in California that have venom strong enough to do any significant damage if you're only stung by one or even a couple. It was most likely a carpenter bee if it was in a hole in a tree, especially from the description. There are big black ones like that all over the place in California. They're virtually harmless, sometimes they will even allow themselves to be picked up without stinging, it probably felt threatened by you for some reason. Either way, don't worry about it. There's no reason to be rushing to the hospital over a bee sting (any bee sting here) unless you're allergic. Don't let people on here scare you with all that, you're not in any danger. Just put some ice or baking soda and water paste on it if it still stings. It will go away on its own, though.

  4. Sounds like a solitary bee that do infact live alone as oppose to living in colonies/hives. In the first instance try vinegar on the wound to combat the alkaline of the sting, if this doen't help maybe an anasthetic cream will relieve any pain or swelling. If the problem gets worse go visit the hospital as you may have suffered an allergic reaction. Hope my advice helps!!

  5. Well it probably is a bee. And if you really do think its THAT poisionus, maybe you should go see a doctor.

  6. Old home remedy for stings:

    - Baking soda [powdered]

    - Vinegar [if unavailable just use water]

Make a watery paste and apply to sting, this takes the pain away.

Obviously if there is a more serious problem go to EMERGENCY!

  7. Piousness?  I think you mean poisonous.  Well, a bumble bee is big and fuzzy, and it would certainly sting, but unless you're allergic to their sting, it will just create a welt, and be sore for a couple of days.

    Good luck!

  8. Sounds like a carpenter bee, unless you're allergic and go into anaphylaxis you should be fine with some swelling and tenderness that might last as long as a few days. If you notice yourself having problems breathing or getting light headed and clammy it's important to get to the ER, especially if you don't know if you're allergic.

  9. *poisonous

Did you ask your mother? The way you are describing it "bug" "lives in trees" idk they don't sound all that dangerous... Is the "sting" turning red and are you sure it isn't just a bite?
