I just got the 3 ring of death on my xbox 360, what should i do first?

take the game out, disconnect all cords, take off the hard drive, call xbox, they will send you a box with pre paid shipping, you put in your box into the box and ship, they send you a brand new xbox, then you put your hard drive back and away you go... it is a pain in the ***, but they made it as easy as they could, mine came back in about 3 weeks.
