I just got the Blackberry Curve why do emails come up as text messages too. Do they count as texts?

If they do I know I will be over my 10,000 texts. Please help.

Hi-

It shouldn't. I would call your carrier and figure out how your plan is set up.

There is the phone plan which includes the phone and text.

There is also the BIS data plan, which includes access to internet, so you setup a personal email that is tied to your yahoo, gmail or whatever and web browse. Which does not tie up your text plan.

So I would confirm with them.
