I just got the DVR for my cable, my service provider is Cablevision, what do i do with the old cable box ?

I dont want to just throw it in the garbage, I am thinking that i just return it to any Cablevision service store. What have you guys done?

You're right. Just drop it back by. If you were "renting" that box make sure they don't continue to charge you for that one and the new one.
