I just got the PS3 and i can't get the network working.?

Question

i have a modem through Comcast cable, in Minnesota and i have to connect my computer through the USB port because my ethernet port got fried. If i get a router can i still have my computer connected through USB and the PS3 through the ethernet port?

I'm not really understanding your question, but I also have Comcast. What I did was get a Linksys router, you can get one at around 50$. You just connect ur comcast modem to the router and you'll have a wireless network. Then you just set up the network on the ps3.You won't need an ethernet port. Good Luck.
