I just graduated college with a BS degree in biochemistry. I just got a job earning 19 bucks an hours. help?

is this okay? or am I being underpaid? I live in georgia and I just got my first job ever as a lab tech. ..my lab tech friend who works at another company in california started earning 28 bucks an hour..it looks like I am a loser anyways, i graduated with honors and I am no dummie oh okay, thanks

i would say that you are okay.

if you are working the 8hrs a day, 5 days a week kind then it should be sustainable.

Calculate it this way and see.

Thought it would be nicer to earn around 22-25.

Keep in mind that the cost of living in many parts of California is significantly higher than in Georgia. Make sure you become indispensable, and after a period of time ask for a raise.
