  1. Plenty of internal bruising after all that pushing, pulling & cutting.

Go easy on yourself, keep any weight off your stomach / pelvic area.

Did your Dr say 4 wks was ok ?    Check with them if your are uncertain - otherwise gently does it.........

  2. Most doctors recommend you wait till your 6 week appointment for intercourse or at least until post-partum bleeding has ceased.  I got the okay from an NP at the hospital at 4 weeks after my vaginal delivery and had no issues.

The burning sensation might be a result of decreased lubrication if you're breastfeeding in which case I recommend a personal lubricant.  It might also just feel different because you're healing.  Even with a c-section your body, and specifically your v****a, goes through many changes during pregnancy and post-partum.  Ease into it- the first few times were a little different, but you'll be good as new in no time.

    Congrats and good luck!

  3. the pressure from your pregnancy still took a toll on your body, especially in the pelvis no matter what way your baby came out...it take a long time to heal 100%.  I dont know the details of your delivery, but I know a few people who went through the labor, dilating, effacting, pushing, and THEN got a c-section, and its definately sore in there from all that.

    BTW

    Congrats on your baby!!

  4. You just had "MAJOR ABDOMINAL SURGERY"!

  5. probably due to a surge of hormones, you can have swelling in your vaginal walls regardless of how your baby was delivered.
