I know you're not supposed to but I forgot I had them in.

I've taken them out now.

They're daily disposables so I've thrown them away.

  1. NO  NOT AT ALL BAD

  2. You shouldn't as a general rule of thumb.

If it's happened once, it's not a big deal, I wouldn't make a habit of it however.

One reason being tap water may contain Acanthamoeba, an amoeba commonly found in the water supply, i.e., tap-water.

Which can lead to an eye condition known as Acanthamoeba keratitis, which can threaten your eye sight.

But again, one time, the risk is low. Just don't make a habit of it happening and you should be fine.

PS: Liverpool - You' el ll nunca camina solamente!

(Think my Spanish is right, I'm a bit rusty!)

  3. No...it would only be scary if you went to sleep wearing contacts.

  4. What?  What's wong with showering with your contacts in?  There is nothing wrong with that at all.  I shower with mine in, swim, whitewater raft, whatever.  Water and steam dont hurt them a bit- in fact, it can make them more comfortable to wear.  Whomever told you not to wear contacts in the shower is a crackpot.

  5. "you're not supposed to" is not equal to "it will be bad for me"

  6. Um.  NO!!  i think you'll be okay.  don't freak out about c**p like this!

  7. Of course! It can irritate your eyes and... who knows what it can do to your eye!!!
