Question:

I just had my clutch changed on my 89 crx

jus like it says I had someone change my clutch for me on my 89 crx now it won't go into gear when running I also noticed my flywheel looked kinda worne could dat be the prob or something else please help

  1. they probably put the clutch plate in backwards,


  2. someone didn't do a good job.  take ur CRX to a reputable repair shop.  

  3. the clutch plate might be too meaty...try reving the engine to a high rpm and while holding on the brakes...let the gas petal go and force it into first gear....it should be able to slide in when the rpm drops to the right location...and then go to the next gear and try it...my buddy's car did that before with a cheap ebay clutch and i did that to it until it went in to 1st and 2nd gear....then it suddenly was able to go to all gears...

  4. sounds like someone didnt do a good job.

    I once replaced a clutch on a Si and when i was done i had the same problem u were having. what happend was that some how some way the throw out bearing came off when i was installing the trans bak onto the motor, so i had to take the trans off again. I put the throw out bearing bak in place and it worked fine after that.

    I dont think the flywheel will cause this. but u shouldve replaced it or had it turned.
